As a standard we are going to be picking Meditation for regenerating our spells and Spell Memory to cast those spells. When it comes to perks we have Arcane Mastery, Quick Chant, Ice Shield, and last spot is flexible but I recommend Reactive Shield for a little bit more defense. Make sure to use your Meditation in spots where you will not be spotted!
Second Wind:

Take Second Wind on Q. Since Second Wind has a one time limited usage it happens a lot that you press E accidently and waste the Skill. So make sure to switch the skills.

You can reload Second Wind at campfires it has the equivalent of a level 7 Spellslot. So a grey Campfire doesn´t recharge it.

Sprint:

Take Sprint on E. This Skill is on a low cooldown and should be spammed frequently, even against pve. Most people use this skill only to engage and chase enemy players, but often times it is better to use this skill to run away and prepare a reengage or shoot from the distance.

Play Style
Play Style
It is extremely important that you gather information about the opposing team. If you are solo you need to play in and out style like a rogue. However, if you have team mates you can go in take one and leave causing disruption while your team pushes in. Your main weakness will be close range high damage dealing classes like Rogues and Barbarians.
Solo:

You are at a disadvantage entering solo, so make the best out of it and use Guerilla Tactics!!!

You can hear enemy Teams almost every time beforehand and let´s you evade them. Avoid noise yourself.

Move at the outer circle of the map to avoid players.

Choose your fights. Wait for enemy players to start pve or be distracted by looting.

Poke from far away and disengage. Wear them down.

Hit hard and retreat.

Going through the swarm is not as punishing as you might think.

Team:

Communication is king. Communicate with your team when you hear enemy players, enter a new room, place a campfire.

As an engage you need to use Haste -> Ignite -> Invisibility and sneak to their backline and hopefully pickup a cleric, mage or a ranger kill. Then quickly cast another invisibility to flea to safety or continue attacking their backline depending on their team composition.
Build a barricade of arrows and magic missiles with your teammates. Then switch to melee and be Frontline Fighter. Don´t rush blind into an new room. Protect your backline from Rogues!!!

When it comes to dealing with enemy mini bosses you can use Ignite + Magic Missile combo to deal a lot of damage.

You can also play as a support mage buffing your team mates with Ignite and Haste.
