Guide
- Normal:
- The giant centipede has two attacks. The first attack is a lunging thrust. The second attack is a long ranged 3-shot projectile attack that applies a stacking poison debuff. The first attack can be dodged by circle-strafing or baiting and punishing. The projectile attack can be dodged by hugging and circle strafing the monster, or if at medium-long range can be duck crouched. The centipede also has a flee ability where it will run away and leave pools of poisonous goop on the floor.
- Elite:

A word of warning for my fellow rangers. Dont set up traps thinking you will be able to kill this thing, it wont trigger them and youll probably run over your own traps. best to avoid them unless you can get them stuck in a corner or something
When I kill giant centipede, sometimes I get quest credit and sometimes not. Anyone have an idea why?
Was having a conversation with a friend about poison damage and they remarked how they have noticed a high PDR effecting the DoT from the Centipedes Spit Attack, but not its Poison Trail. After doing a little investigation I noticed that all sources of poison damage outside of Death Beetles and Goblin Weapons is Green. Zombie and Stinky Stick gas, the Dragon fly attack, and the Centipedes Poison Trail. The Spit Attack, however, has a purply red color very similar to the Rogues "Rupture" ability
I trust my friends experience, so is it possible that the Spit Attack is actually a Physical Damage Bleeding effect? I will probably do more testing on this and reply here with my findings
