Description

Barbarians in Dark and Darker are fierce and savage warriors, who rely on their raw strength and animalistic rage to tear apart their enemies. They are masters of close-quarters combat, using powerful two-handed weapons or even their bare hands to strike their foes with devastating force. Barbarians are also known for their endurance and stamina, allowing them to keep fighting long after other warriors have fallen. Their primal instincts give them an uncanny ability to sense danger and react quickly, making them ideal for surprise attacks or ambushes.

Treacherous Lungs
Enigme | Posted on Dec 29, 2024 at 10:26 am | Last edited on Jan 7, 2025 at 2:30 pm

Treacherous Lungs works multiplicatively with buff duration. If you take Rage/Savage Roar which normally lasts 6s and equip treacherous lungs which is a 1.3 scalar to the duration then Rage/Savage Roar will now last 7.8s. This can be taken even further with buff duration. The current cap for buff duration as an enchantment is 70% and Barbarian currently starts with 18 Will which provides an additional 3% buff duration. If you buy gear with max buff duration and equip treacherous lungs and use Rage/Savage Roar it will now last for 13.5s (6s)x(1.3)x(1.7+.03)=13.494s Each 10 points of Will adds .78s to Rage/Savage Roar up to 50 Will Using these stats War Cry will last for 15.743s (7s)x(1.3)x(1.7+.03)=15.743s Each 10 points of Will adds .91s to War Cry up to 50 Will

Is rage a "Shouting" ability as far as treacherous lungs is concerned?
anonymous | Posted on Nov 7, 2024 at 5:46 am

aka, is it a 30% longer buff? or does this only apply to war cry and savage roar?

Enigme | Posted on Jan 7, 2025 at 2:01 pm | Last edited on Jan 7, 2025 at 2:01 pm

Yes, all 3

Does will work with shouting abilities?
anonymous | Posted on Nov 2, 2024 at 2:44 pm

does will work with shouting

does luck work with crush when breaking chests and boxes?
anonymous | Posted on Jul 27, 2024 at 4:38 am

?

anonymous | Posted on Aug 7, 2024 at 11:37 am

He is asking if luck still determine loot when crushing boxes and chests open, or is that only a factor when opening them.

anonymous | Posted on Aug 17, 2024 at 8:20 pm

No it doesnt, they have to be opened

;w;
Rob | Posted on Feb 8, 2024 at 8:55 am

Honestly why learn any other class, the devs clearly only love the the Barb, you get within 8 meters and they simply disable your damage

anonymous | Posted on Jul 1, 2024 at 12:02 pm

And barb only get 5 knowledge. Knowledge is useless for all non-caster classes. Which means barb has extra stat points comparing with fighter/rogue/ranger.

Does Savage Roar work on players?
DeanieBobeanie | Posted on Nov 3, 2023 at 5:56 pm

I see it on players, but do they have 25% physical debuff?

anonymous | Posted on Nov 8, 2023 at 9:10 pm

Yes, there’s no cases of statuses working differently on players than on mobs (other than bosses having some immunities)

Sur | Posted on Apr 21, 2024 at 8:01 pm

To clarify, Savage Roar applies two statuses. One applies only to mobs (the fear), the other applies to both (dmg debuff)

Sur | Posted on Apr 22, 2024 at 9:02 pm

Correction, the other applies to just players

How does Savage Roar (Frighten) work?
anonymous | Posted on Oct 8, 2023 at 5:46 pm

Sometimes mobs start running away and sometimes they just pause attacking

Esthelion | Posted on Nov 2, 2023 at 10:22 pm

That's just how it seems to work.

CrookedJ | Posted on Feb 26, 2024 at 3:57 am

Depends on the type of mob

Executioner VS Axe Specialization and Carnage+morale boost
anonymous | Posted on Aug 31, 2023 at 6:52 am

Is there a point where executioner is better than axe specialization?

Does carnage stack with morale boost on one kill?

anonymous | Posted on Sep 4, 2023 at 8:33 am

Axe Specialization is incredible, for sure take it first and foremost. Yes, both perks will activate on a player kill. Although carnage will also activate with PVE.
