Gear Score
Description
Each item in your team's inventory is worth a particular Gear Score value. The total Gear Score across your whole team is then used to place you into 1 of 3 brackets used for Match Making.
Items in your inventory that aren't equipped also contribute to this Gear Score. Bringing in too many healing consumables now has a downside!
Item's Gear Score
Different Items provide different Gear Scores.
Note: Stacks of items count gear score for each item in the stack. For example, a stack of 3x Poor Potions will contribute 3x3=9 gear score.

Misc
Misc items do not have any Gear score.
Coin Purses, Arrows, Bolts, Treasure, Hunting Loots, etc. are Misc items.
Brackets
Ironmace can change this very easily due to matchmaking being server sided , so this information can easily get out of date. This information was gathered through manual testing.
Currently there appear to be 3 brackets.
Those brackets are:
- Low Gear Bracket(0-199)
- Medium Gear Bracket 200-399
- High Gear Bracket 400+
Game will take into consideration total gear score of all members in the party and then it will average it out.
The max party size does not matter when calculating your party's gear score.
Averaging out Example and Edge cases
Player 1 has 200 Gear Score, Player 2 has 300 Gear Score. They are loading into Trios Crypts. Their party's gear score will be (200 + 300)/2 = 250 Gear Score.
They will be placed into the Medium Gear Bracket despite only having 2 members in the party.
