Developer Comments: Hotfix #26 addresses many of the bugs and some balancing issues that arose from the quick implementation of the previous hotfix. We are also aware of issues regarding the current implementation of the experimental all-maps rotation system. We know it was a drastic change and we plan to continue monitoring the system and your feedback to formulate improvements for the future update. We need a little more time to digest the data on the system, and in the meantime we will continue making some tweaks to our settings to gather additional information. We thank you for your understanding as we strive to push the game forward.

Developer Comments: "Happy holidays to all adventurers! It took longer than expected but we have now updated to an experimental match-making system so solos, duos, and trios can now play across all the maps offered in the game. The current implementation uses a timed rotation so that each party type will have access to a different locale. We have plans to improve this system in the future and we are working on a rework of a larger Goblin Caves for the next update.

We have also been hard at work on adding more protection against cheaters and abusers, including teamers. We have added several anti-teaming measures with this update. Basecamp will no longer display the timer and playercount to make it more difficult for pre-teamers to coordinate their sessions. We have modified the spectator mode for High-Roller dungeons so teamers can’t use the feature to disclose the location of legitimate players. The reporting system has been updated so you can now report players you suspect of teaming. We’ve also implemented ping-locks to several regions to make it harder for teamers to congregate on low population servers. We will continue to monitor and adjust these systems as we strive to ensure a clean environment.

Finally, we would like to announce our first Holiday Sale event! We will be offering a 30% discount for both the Standard and Hold the Line editions until Jan 4, 2024, so let your friends and family know if they want to get into the dungeons for the holidays!"

Developer Comments: The update that expands the map pool will be slightly delayed. We are currently in the process of moving to a new office to expand the dev team and decided to push back the large update until after the move is completed. Instead, we have decided to implement some minor fixes with this hotfix. We have also slightly improved the default stats of the ‘Lizardman’ race (+15% headshot protection) as we underestimated the detrimental effects of not being able to equip a helmet. Thank you!

  • Adventure Point entrance fees for each map has been adjusted. We have slightly reduced the AP entrance fees as we were seeing less than 1% of High-Roller players able to reach the middle rank of ‘Pathfinder’.
  • Adventure Points gained from adventuring and killing monsters is now split between the party. Adventure Points gained from treasure upon escaping are still calculated individually.
  • The curve table used to calculate the amount of AP for a PvP kill has been slightly adjusted upwards so killing an enemy player will give slightly more AP.
  • Added Alchemist and Surgeon quests.
  • Credit for Quest kills are now credited to all members of a party.
  • Items that can be purchased and crafted have been adjusted according to merchants’ affinity. In general, rare quality crafts unlock at 50 affinity, epic quality crafts unlock at 100 affinity, and legendary quality crafts unlock at 150 affinity.
  • Traps and throwing weapons are now available from the Woodsman in limited quantities even at the ‘neutral’ affinity.
  • Merchants will now sell ‘Epic’ items at the highest affinity.
  • Removed the limited stock for crafting ingots and powders.
  • Reduced the amount of silver coins required for Silver Ingot from 300 → 120.
  • Reduced the amount of silver coins required for Silver Powder from 120 → 90.
  • Reduced the amount of ore required to create ingots (5->3) and powders (3->2).
  • Significantly increased the amount of gold a Merchant gives when they buy higher grade weapons and armors from the player.

  • The Armourer's Second Quest had it's introductory text changed from: "I used to be hailed as a hero, yet inside, I was anything but. Crafting armor for adventurers as brave as you, it's my way of making amends." to "For my next request, I need Cobalt and Rubysilver Ingots. They make strong armor, the kind I wish I'd had. Maybe knowing I had more dependable armor I'd have felt braver, faced my fears head-on."
