It is possible to identify a mimic by crouching down and glitching the player's head through the chest and seeing if the chest is empty or has a mouth's insides. Furthermore, a barbarian equipped with the smash perk can uncover a mimic by hitting them multiple times. Closes it's mouth when low on health to act like a normal chest again.

Overview

Chests have a 5% chance to be a Mimic. It is possible to identify a mimic by crouching down and glitching the player's head through the chest and seeing if the chest is empty or has a mouth's insides. Furthermore, a barbarian equipped with the smash perk can uncover a mimic by hitting them multiple times. Closes it's mouth when low on health to act like a normal chest again.

  • Normal:
    • The mimic has one attack. This attack is a lunging chomp that can be dodged by spacing and punishing.


  • Elite:
    • Same as normal but with increased damage, faster action speed, and higher health.


  • Nightmare:
    • The nightmare variant has increased damage, action speed, move speed, and higher health than the elite version. The nightmare variant also gains the ability to apply a poison debuff upon hit.
