Overview
Chests have a 5% chance to be a Mimic. It is possible to identify a mimic by crouching down and glitching the player's head through the chest and seeing if the chest is empty or has a mouth's insides. Furthermore, a barbarian equipped with the smash perk can uncover a mimic by hitting them multiple times. Closes it's mouth when low on health to act like a normal chest again.
Guide
- Normal:
- The mimic has one attack. This attack is a lunging chomp that can be dodged by spacing and punishing.
- Elite:
- Same as normal but with increased damage, faster action speed, and higher health.
- Nightmare:
- The nightmare variant has increased damage, action speed, move speed, and higher health than the elite version. The nightmare variant also gains the ability to apply a poison debuff upon hit.
- Lid -> head
- Tongue -> head
- Everything else -> body
Mimic Variants
There are various types of Mimics found in the dungeon. Each Mimic variety has Common, Elite and Nightmare tiers.
Ornate
- Lion's Head Chest Mimi
- Heavy Ornate Chest Mimicc
- Bronze Ornate Chest Mimic
Large
- Large Oak Chest Mimic
- Flat Chest Mimic
- Large Reinforced Chest Mimic
Medium
- Oak Chest Mimic
- Reinforced Chest Mimic
Small
- Small Oak Chest Mimic
- Small Reinforced Chest Mimic
Loot Table
Every mimic has "Quest Mimic Common" loot table. And has only one of "Small", "Medium", "Large", or "Ornate" loot tables.
For example, "Elite Lion's Chest Mimic" has "Elite-Ornate" and "Quest Mimic Common" loot tables.

Examples:
12 Physical + Poison Dmg
All three difficulties deal 12 Physical damage for this attack, but only the Nightmare applies the Poison Dmg status.
15(4)/25(4)/35(4) Magical Radius + Attack Dmg AoE
All three difficulties have the Magical Radius attack, but each deal different damage, all happen to have the same Impact Power. All three difficulties also apply the Attack Dmg AoE status.
