If you are on even ground, you can sit down and rest which will completely avoid any attacks done by the Wraith, letting your teammates kill it without much risk. You can also use an incline like stairs to be below it and if you can keep it there, it will also be unable to hit you.

The incline mechanic still works, but the sit down mechanic was patched out unfortunately.
