Stack Size:

A chest that can hold a lot of gold coins.

Gold Containers

Gold containers can save space in your stash by compacting stacks of gold coins. If a gold coin would be transferred to a stash tab or your inventory while a non-full gold container is there, the coins will automatically be added to the container. Gold received from a Marketplace sale also magnets to gold containers. You can transfer gold between containers more quickly by dragging one onto the other.

Description

Holds a total of 10000 gold coins.

No

% chances

anyone know if it's 0.1% per hit, or 0.1% per roll (3 per hit) so 0.3%?

anonymous | Posted on Aug 20, 2024 at 12:14 pm

ur math is wrong

anonymous | Posted on Aug 23, 2024 at 5:30 pm

math is not wrong

chance you dont get it = 99.9% = 0.999 three per hit so chance you dont get it in any of them is 0.999*0.999*0.999 = 0.997

so chance you get at least one is 1-0.997 = 0.003 = 0.3%

It's a separate loot table that only rolls once. Ignoring luck, it's 0.1% per pile hit,.

Yeah unfortunately your math is wrong. The way statics works doesn't follow your thought process.

If the chance of obtaining a Gold Coin Chest is .1%, and you can hit a pile 3-10 times, each time you hit the pile, the probability of getting a Gold Coin Chest remains at .1%.

However, with ten chances, overall, the odds go up to 0.996% in comparison to if someone only hit the pile once.

In layman's terms, every time you hit the pile, you're only going to get a chest .1% of the time. But the more you hit the pile, the more likely it is that you get a chest.

I must note: if a drop is .1%, and you do X to roll of the chance of obtaining the drop 1000 times, you are not guaranteed the drop.

(Just like if you flip a coin 10 times, you may only get heads twice, even though it's a 50% chance you get heads!)

This is called relative frequency, which in this case, is 20%

If you flipped a coin 1000 times, you would get heads close to 500 times, but it's not guaranteed.

Binomial distribution: Variance=n⋅p⋅(1−p)

n is the number of pulls from the pile, which is 10.

p is the probability of getting a chest per pull, which is 0.1.

So, the variance of the number of chests obtained from 10 pulls is 0.9.

no, math isn't wrong... he was asking if since each time you hit the pile it rolls three separate items each one has a chance to be a gold chest, so the chances are 0.1% x3 per pile hit

anonymous | Posted on Sep 2, 2024 at 11:16 pm

The treasure hoard page says it rolls only once for the chest per interaction. The x3 per pile is only for standard treasure, like gems and trinkets.

It rolls 3x for treasures (gems, trinkets, etc.) It rolls 1x for gear loot It rolls 1x for gold/silver coins in amounts that can go higher than 1 stack and finally rolls 1x for the chest

So each interact rolls 6x, but only one of those is for the chest specifically

higher luck higher chance max at 0.87%, see loot table chard of treasure hoard in hr with 500 luck. every time you finish interact with it, it roll 1 time at a base chance of 0.1% in 0 luck, 0.87% in 500 luck. other than goblin cave and 1st floor of ice cave which is 0.03% at 0 luck, 0.26% at 500 luck.
