Goblin Mage

Most players would agree that the Goblin Mage is the most dangerous enemy in regular Goblin caves, besides bosses, mini-bosses and variants, despite only having two moves. (at time of writing; Early Access wipe #1)

Guide

The Goblin Mage has two abilities

  • Homing magic projectile that deals massive damage and a strong movement speed debuff
  • AoE buff to nearby monsters with a very long cast time

Magic Projectile:

  • While at Range:
    • Simply strafe left or right.
    • (Observation?) The projectile biases in a right-handed circle, so strafing left while at range might be the easiest way to avoid it.
  • While in Melee:
    • The projectile will never hit a player crouched directly in front of the mage.
