This update introduces our community assisted enforcement system to help clean up the dungeons. Suspicious players that receive too many reports from highly reliable community enforcers will receive a temporary ‘Outlaw’ mark on their account. Outlaw accounts will be spotlighted for intense investigation by our anti-cheat team and eventually have modes and features restricted once this system is finalized. The best way for the community to help us improve this system is to continue sending accurate reports when encountering a cheater.
This update also consolidates the matchmaking queues. The pools have been simplified into just a single pool each for Adventure, Normal, and HR modes. The continuous matchmaking system has improved our ability to help keep dungeons feeling populated. However, even with that system in place, the current population cannot sufficiently support the excessive amount of match types.
The removal of the lower gear-score pools also symbolizes a return to the more brutal and hardcore roots for the PvP-enabled dungeons, where not every fight is supposed to be fair. In the same vein, Normal dungeons are now focused on trio parties. We are aware that the current item power gap pushes this brutality to the extreme and we will be working on a future overhaul to make the gap more reasonable. In the meantime, we will be considering ways to make it a bit easier to close that gap with the improved loot drop rates and enhancements to the gem socket system. This update brings several large balance changes including a move away from the gear-score system. Game Modes are now limited by item rarity rather than a gear score range. This is done to make it easier for players to gauge and predict the relative strength of the players in a pool.
The normal dungeons are now separated into two starting gear limits of ‘Common’ and ‘Rare’ grades. The ‘Common’ grade dungeons allow for quick access to PvP centric matches with super low investment costs. The ‘Rare’ grade dungeons allow players to customize their characters within a specific range and wager their loadout against opposing player builds.
The High-Roller ‘Epic’ dungeon ratchets up the heat where the builds are taken to the next level. Finally, the High-Roller ‘Unlimited’ dungeon is meant for the biggest risk takers where the sky is the limit.
We have also readjusted the cutoff points for each of the Arena ranks based on actual player distribution from the previous season. The original cutoff points resulted in the lower ranks being underrepresented while too many people were lumped into the uppermost ranks. This significantly reduced the reputation we wanted associated with the higher ranks. The new cutoff points should see a more normal distribution across the ranks with a much smaller percentage of players achieving the ‘Contender’ rank and only the most elite players achieving a rating of ‘Vanquisher’ or ‘Warlord’. We have also relaxed the party MMR restrictions so that it now only applies to parties with a member of ‘Veteran’ ranking or higher.

This update prepares for the start of the new adventure rank season. We have also decided to remove the Fog of War to enable players to make more high-level strategic decisions weighing the risks and rewards of POIs and extraction points. Although we enjoyed the feelings of exploration added by the Fog of War, the feature led to lowered engagement from newer adventurers who we had hoped to protect with this mechanic. We’ve also added two new artifact weapons, the Catice and Bloodthirst which introduces some spectacular new effects. Developer Comments

This update introduces our community assisted enforcement system to help clean up the dungeons. Suspicious players that receive too many reports from highly reliable community enforcers will receive a temporary ‘Outlaw’ mark on their account. Outlaw accounts will be spotlighted for intense investigation by our anti-cheat team and eventually have modes and features restricted once this system is finalized. The best way for the community to help us improve this system is to continue sending accurate reports when encountering a cheater.

This update also consolidates the matchmaking queues. The pools have been simplified into just a single pool each for Adventure, Normal, and HR modes. The continuous matchmaking system has improved our ability to help keep dungeons feeling populated. However, even with that system in place, the current population cannot sufficiently support the excessive amount of match types.

The removal of the lower gear-score pools also symbolizes a return to the more brutal and hardcore roots for the PvP-enabled dungeons, where not every fight is supposed to be fair. In the same vein, Normal dungeons are now focused on trio parties. We are aware that the current item power gap pushes this brutality to the extreme and we will be working on a future overhaul to make the gap more reasonable. In the meantime, we will be considering ways to make it a bit easier to close that gap with the improved loot drop rates and enhancements to the gem socket system. Developer Comments

This update brings several large balance changes including a move away from the gear-score system. Game Modes are now limited by item rarity rather than a gear score range. This is done to make it easier for players to gauge and predict the relative strength of the players in a pool.

The normal dungeons are now separated into two starting gear limits of ‘Common’ and ‘Rare’ grades. The ‘Common’ grade dungeons allow for quick access to PvP centric matches with super low investment costs. The ‘Rare’ grade dungeons allow players to customize their characters within a specific range and wager their loadout against opposing player builds.

The High-Roller ‘Epic’ dungeon ratchets up the heat where the builds are taken to the next level. Finally, the High-Roller ‘Unlimited’ dungeon is meant for the biggest risk takers where the sky is the limit.

We have also readjusted the cutoff points for each of the Arena ranks based on actual player distribution from the previous season. The original cutoff points resulted in the lower ranks being underrepresented while too many people were lumped into the uppermost ranks. This significantly reduced the reputation we wanted associated with the higher ranks. The new cutoff points should see a more normal distribution across the ranks with a much smaller percentage of players achieving the ‘Contender’ rank and only the most elite players achieving a rating of ‘Vanquisher’ or ‘Warlord’. We have also relaxed the party MMR restrictions so that it now only applies to parties with a member of ‘Veteran’ ranking or higher.

Hi Adventurers, This update prepares for the start of the new adventure rank season. We have also decided to remove the Fog of War to enable players to make more high-level strategic decisions weighing the risks and rewards of POIs and extraction points. Although we enjoyed the feelings of exploration added by the Fog of War, the feature led to lowered engagement from newer adventurers who we had hoped to protect with this mechanic. We’ve also added two new artifact weapons, the Catice and Bloodthirst which introduces some spectacular new effects. General Balance Updates

The Armor Rating curve has been modified to give slightly less PDR in the early part of the curve. Cooldown time reduction bonuses are limited to a maximum cap of 65%.

Class Balance Updates

Casting a spell with Time Distortion equipped now applies a -30% Action Speed debuff. Sorcerer’s Stone Skin duration changed from 10 seconds to 15 seconds, and its physical damage reduction bonus changed from 10% to 15%.

Item Balance Updates

Random modifiers have been significantly modified. Weapon damage for most weapons have been updated. The weapon animation for the Club has been improved. The draw speed of the Crystal Sword has been slightly improved. The gear score of items have been readjusted. Helmets, gloves, and boots have had their gear score slightly increased. Welcome to Early Access Season 6! This season we are excited to introduce the new PvE-only ‘Adventure mode’! Gather your friends and delve into the dungeons for an exciting co-op dungeon crawling experience! To add extra weight to adventuring and finding your own loot from the dungeons, we’ve closed the trade market for the first two weeks of this season. We’ve also added many new monsters, dungeon modules, and a full season of quests. Join us as we continue to work on making the dungeons more lived-in and interactive. Community Notes

Certain bosses' (both LR and HR) HP pools were buffed:

  • Ghost King: +10% HP
  • Warlord: +40% HP
  • Lich: No change
  • Wyvern: No change
  • Cave Troll: +50% HP
  • Cyclops: +10% HP
  • Spectral Knight: No change
  • Banshee: No change


Luck curves changed. The range of luck grades 4 through 8 have been reduced. The curves all follow the same pattern, but their magnitudes have been reduced.
  • Luck grade 4: 3.505 -> 1.752.
  • Luck grade 5: 3.881 -> 2.538.
  • Luck grade 6: 4.257 -> 3.28.
  • Luck grade 7: 4.382 -> 3.705.
  • Luck grade 8: 4.382 -> 4.213.

On the surface, this is a nerf to luck grades below 8, but overall it is a substantial buff to luck's effectiveness for high luck grades.

Previously, tables that only contained luck grades 5-8 would see minimal change from luck, even at luck values currently impossible in-game.

Compared to the previous patch, the increased relative difference between the high end luck grades makes luck more effective for high roller loot tables.
