Hit area is your hit box during release that can catch environment obstacles and cancel spell. - Spell Book having the fastest animation and smallest hit area. - Magic Sphere having faster than staff, but slower than book release animation and what looks to be the same hit area. - Magic Staff has slowest release animation and largest hit area, making it hard or even impossible to cast spells while crouching a tunnel or making a quick peak from the left corner.
